Postnatal Mum & Baby Bellyoga classes

My postnatal classes are a space for YOU and YOUR BABY! My main focus is to practice some safe yoga postures and regain the core strength that you need daily throughout Bellydance.
Bellydance travels from soft movements to sharp movements.  In this stage of Postnatal we will start with the soothing soft moves and evolve towards more sharp deep exercises to concentrate in the small group of muscles!
We will focus on Pelvic floor exercices and we will perform many Bellydance moves that require engagement of the pelvic floor at the same time that we are embellishing the moves!

I will alternate Yoga and Bellydance exercises in harmony, to restore your body, build up the strenght and prepare the muscles to cope better with your every day life.

A bit about my birth

My son, Leo, was born in the Spring of 2014 and it's been the most amazing experience of my life. But I am aware that I need to appreciate myself in order to grow that confidence and strength within me, very much needed to be a better mum every day....

Having a baby is an overwhelming experience in many ways. It is a mix of joy, worrying, excitement. ..everything changes!!
It is during the first months when, even though it's mum who does main job,  she is also often forgotten and remains slightly "behind the scenes"...
I believe that it is very important to take time every day and learn to appreciate yourself,  be proud of the greatness of the job you are doing. Every day is a performance and you are the director of it: you might not be on the stage but, surely, you are the responsible of what happens there!

I practised Bellydance and Yoga up until my due date. Yoga gave me the strenght, the focus and kept my body in balance with my mind; Bellydance was my way to dance with my baby and express myself and all my emotions. I continued practising both art forms and I never stopped, they both helped me to go back to my body shape in a short period of time, strenghten my pelvic muscles and core muscles and regain my confidence to face the wonderful path into Motherhood!
